Invoicing Requirements for Artists Withholding Tax
- Withholding Tax Obligations
1.1 Artists providing services through the GiGzy platform are responsible for understanding and complying with any applicable withholding tax requirements in both their country of residence and the country where services are rendered.
1.2 GiGzy will provide necessary documentation to assist artists in fulfilling their tax obligations but is not responsible for withholding or remitting taxes on behalf of artists. - Payment Processing and Withholding
2.1 Payments will be processed upon receipt of valid invoices. Any applicable withholding taxes will be the responsibility of the artist to report and remit to the relevant authorities.
2.2 Artists must ensure that any necessary tax forms or declarations are submitted to the relevant tax authorities in a timely manner. - Tax Documentation and Compliance
3.1 Artists must retain all tax-related documents and records for a minimum of five (5) years. GiGzy reserves the right to request evidence of compliance with tax obligations.
3.2 In the event of an audit, artists must cooperate fully and provide necessary documentation to verify compliance with tax regulations. - Non-Compliance and Penalties
4.1 Failure to comply with withholding tax obligations may result in penalties or legal action. GiGzy is not liable for any penalties incurred due to non-compliance by the artist.
4.2 Artists are advised to consult with a tax professional to ensure full compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. - Amendments and Notifications
5.1 GiGzy reserves the right to amend these withholding tax and payment terms with prior notice. Changes will be communicated via email or through the GiGzy platform and will take effect 30 days after notification.
